What is Garden Vision?
Garden Vision is a personalized garden design service created specifically for your space. You provide photos and project details, and we create a visual concept with recommendations tailored to your garden and goals.
How does Garden Vision work?
Garden Vision begins with a photo of your space and a brief description of your goals, preferences, and any challenges you'd like to address. After reviewing your information, we create a personalized visual concept based on your actual garden area.
Your completed Garden Vision includes a custom design concept, layout guidance, plant suggestions, and recommendations tailored to your space and style. The goal is to help you move confidently from inspiration to reality by allowing you to visualize possibilities before investing time and money in plants and materials.
Whether you're creating a new garden bed, refreshing an existing landscape, or solving a difficult design challenge, Garden Vision provides a personalized roadmap designed specifically for your garden.
How long does it take to receive my Garden Vision design?
Once we receive photos of your space and measurements, your garden design will be completed in 5 business days.
Do you only serve Hahira, GA?
No — while Whimsical Willow is based in Hahira, GA, Garden Vision is a remote design service, so your garden design can be created no matter where you live.
We've completed projects for homeowners in Hahira, Valdosta, Lakeland, and Nashville, GA,
At this time, we're serving clients east of the Mississippi River. Wherever you're located, your design process is the same: send photos and measurements, and receive a personalized plan tailored to your space.
The one difference is plant sourcing. Clients local to the Hahira/Valdosta area can have plants sourced and hand-delivered directly through our local supplier relationships. For clients further away, we can arrange for plants to be mailed directly to your door through our shipping plant partner, so you're never left wondering where to find what's on your plan.
How is Garden Vision different from hiring a landscaping company?
Garden Vision is a design-only service — we're not a landscaping company, and we don't install. That means we don't carry the overhead of crews, equipment, or big installation contracts, and we don't need to sell you on a large project to make the business work.
We take pride in helping everyday homeowners bring a little bit of paradise to their yard, at a price that makes sense for a garden, not a construction project. No pushy sales pitch, no upsell toward something bigger than you asked for — just an honest, professional design you can bring to life however and whenever works for you.
How much does garden vision cost?
Our standard Garden Vision package starts at $150 and includes a custom visual concept, layout guidance, plant suggestions, and recommendations tailored to your space.
Do I have to meet with you in person?
No in-person visit is required — many clients love that everything can be done by phone, photos, and measurements, from the comfort of home. If you're local and would prefer a face-to-face visit instead, we're happy to come to you. The choice is yours.
Do I need to hire a landscaper after I get my Garden Vision plan?
Not necessarily. Your plan is yours to use however you like — install it yourself, hire any landscaper you choose, or tackle it in phases as your budget allows.
If you'd rather not manage the installation yourself, we also work with a trusted local landscaper who can bring your design to life. When you go this route, we project manage the process on your behalf, checking in throughout to make sure the work matches your design and that you're completely happy with the results from start to finish.
What if I don't know what style I want?
That's perfectly fine. Many clients know they want a change but aren't sure where to start. Through the Garden Vision process, we help identify preferences, goals, and opportunities to create a design that feels comfortable and personal to you.
Can I use my Garden Vision plan to shop for plants myself?
Yes, absolutely. We try to recommend plants that are local and easy to find, so you're never stuck hunting for something rare or hard to source. If you're local to the Hahira/Valdosta area, we can also order the plants for you through a trusted local supplier and have them delivered right to your door for your convenience. For clients further away, we can also arrange to have plants mailed directly to you.
Do I need to know what plants I want?
No. Many clients come to us because they are unsure which plants, colors, or design styles will work best. We help guide those decisions as part of the design process.
Can Garden Vision help improve curb appeal?
Absolutely. Many Garden Vision projects focus on enhancing curb appeal by improving bed layouts, selecting appropriate plants, creating focal points, and developing a cohesive design that complements the home and surrounding landscape.
Will Garden Vision work in problem areas?
Yes. Garden Vision is often most valuable when a space presents unique challenges. Whether you're dealing with deep shade, full sun, poor drainage, dry areas under roof overhangs, difficult layouts, or beds that simply aren't performing the way you'd hoped, Garden Vision can help identify solutions tailored to your specific space. Every design is created using photos of your actual garden and takes into account the conditions and goals unique to your project.
Do you offer any other services?
Yes. In addition to Garden Vision, we offer optional consulting and support services for customers who need additional guidance. Services may include on-site consultations, plant shopping assistance, troubleshooting existing landscape problems, planting guidance, and other project-specific support. Additional services are available at $45 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Contact us to discuss your project and determine which services may be right for you.
